FREE MEDICAL CAMP

FREE MEDICAL CAMP_ T.V. PALEM KODAD
It was amazing to see 110 sick persons turning into our free medical camp for the treatment from their sickness. As many were handed free medicines for blood pressure, orthopedic problems and common diseases, this camp was a great success for them.
The free medical camp was held after a month’s prayer. This time the free medical consultancy and treatment program was held in T.V. Palem of Kodad in Nalagonda district. The camp was held in the tailoring center premise of Ps Meshach.
Team from Vijaywada, along with Ps Mathew reached there. There were 4 doctors who gave their free services for this holy and social endeavor. The team of doctors had, one skil specialist, one orthopedic specialist and two general physicians. Right at 12:30pm the camp was begun. All 4 doctors took their respective seats and started checkups. They examined closely and prescribed necessary medicines to them.
All the patients were given free medicines as per the prescriptions by the doctors. It was amazing to see people standing in long queue and waiting for their turns. As soon as their turn was over, they rushed towards the medicine counter to fetch the medicines which was free of cost.
Doctors were also very much excited of attending such a camp. They were overwhelmed by learning that it is a christen organization dedicated to serve the needy community, srving them with the Godly love and care.
One of the senior doctors commented the ministry well, saying, “The work which you are doing, is greater than what a doctor does. You are serving people by giving what you could keep for yourself. We earn and spend for ourselves. You guys are doing great job.”
Even the villagers were also very much excited for having such kind of camp in their village. There were many who are from poor background and could not bear the expenses of their treatment. This camp has helped them a lot and provided their initial help for the medicine.
Once when the doctors were a bit late in coming to the place, impatiently they were strolling in the veranda  and in every 5 minutes they were asking, “when will the doctors come…..would they come or not.”  As soon as they saw the doctor’s car they rushed to get their turn first.
At the end of the day the toll was 110 by no mistake. Till the team departs from the venue, patients were keeping coming to the camp. At the end the program was ended with the refreshment and prayers for the doctors who gave their free services.
They asked our prayers for their lives and well being. Doctor said, “You kindly pray for us, for me and my family as my kids children also doctors, pray that they may become successful in their profession.”
Finally all departed with good memories, with the promise of meeting again in any such a camp. Keep praying for the projects like this which is benefiting to hundreds of lives, bringing them to the freedom from their sickness and worries. Keep praying for us, keep supporting us so that many lives be blessed and benefited into the eternal glory of God.

OLD AGE HOME

OLD AGE WOMEN’S CARE CENTER_REPORT
The culture, system and tradition in India are so complex that one could hardly fulfill its demand as an individual. If you are women, you are born with miseries bundled for your life. From birth till death you are considered ill fated. Though you may fulfill all the responsibility of the family still a women is considered low and less respected in the society. Once they become widow their life becomes more troublesome. Especially in the rural villages they struggle a lot to meet the ends.
Looking at their plights and struggles, Empower 4 Life did start an Old Age Care Centre in Kodad district. This centre is started to look after the old ladies those who are deprived from their homes, destitute, hopeless and widows.

Ps BV Ratnam is running this Old Age Care center with much responsibility. At the moment there are 5 old ladies living happily with their care taker. Every day morning at 5:00am they wake up and worship he Lord, read bible and spend some time in devotion. Then after they get rid of their daily routines and some of them help the care taker in cooking up their breakfast and lunch.
The atmosphere at the care center is so healthy that they never think about their lost families and kids. They cleanup their rooms and fold their beddings and spend a lot time in chit chatting with each other. They feel themselves blessed as this old age center is giving them opportunity to know about Christ more and gives them chance to walk closely to him at the verge of this age.

An Old lady P. Vajramma, got her leg fractured, but we thank the Lord as she is recovering from it and slowly getting into the normal life. Continuously pray for her complete recovery. The home care taker is giving good care for the old age home. They love all old ladies there and love to spend time with them.
He spends time in encouraging them from the word of the Lord. If somebody falls sick he prays for them. Thus such activities are creating a spiritual environment at the center which helps these ladies to forget their worries and past experiences. Their every needs spiritual, social, mental and physical need met well which helps them to stick with the love of Christ with each other at the center.
Through this Old Age Home the work of the Empower 4 Life is well known in the locality and it is getting good acknowledgement and appreciation of the people.

Continuously pray for the care center that God may meet all the supplies for the care center and keep all the ladies fit and well and they may live healthy and happily at the care center.
Our every effort done to them will be great blessing and great investment into the eternity. In heaven you will never regret that you did it.

LADIES TAILORING CENTER

LADIES TAILORING CENTER_REPORT
Unlike previous year, this year tailoring center at Kodad had an enrollment of the ladies willing to learn the skills. This Empower 4 Life skill training project is enabling and strengthening the ladies of the village.
Ps Meshak is looking after this tailoring project. His wife Prasanna Kumari is the trainer for the ladies.
At the moment there are 6 ladies learning this skill. Their day begins with the devotion. One of them leads into the worship and one person will read a bible portion and exhort each other. Then after the prayer their training sessions begins.
Initially they are taught on the news paper and on some rouged cloths. Once they get experienced they are given with the cloths to cut and stitch.
Amazingly all the ladies are so brilliant that they picked up the skill very early. Their trainer sister Prasanna Kumari is expert in stitching. She teaches how to handle the scissors, taking measurements and some basic over the stitching machine.
These ladies very enthusiastically listen and during practical hours they try it on machines.
All together the tailoring center has a good teaching and learning atmosphere. Apart from their training hours they sit together and share their experience and stories with each other. They spend time in prayer for each other. They chit chat and cut some jokes which makes the training hours so lively. It helps them to forget the worries at home and gives the time to laugh open heartedly.
Once they complete their training, they can put up a shop and can make a good income out of it.

KENNEDY TUITION CENTER

KENNEDY TUITION CENTER: SHOBHANAPURAM
Shobhanapuram Kennedy tuition center is remarkably making good feats in the village. Villagers are giving good response to this tuition center. As so many kids are turning to it, in hope of getting good studies, instead of heavily depending on school class hours.
Kennedy tuition center is meant to give free tuition to the kids who cannot afford the costs of after school studies. These kids are given free tuition along with that they are given with evening meal.  It is wonderful and marvelous to see lots of kids turning to this tuition center with great joy and enthusiasm. At the moment 50-60 students are coming to the tuition center.
Ps Ravikiran has appointed two staff to teach students at the center. One of the staff Priyanka is a B.Tech final year student. Thus it is amazing to have well qualified staff at the center.
The kids starts coming to the center by 5:30. Their studies begin by 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm. It gives immense joy to watch kids coming to the center with jumping, shouting, whopping and making loud voices with joy. Their naughtiness fills the air with great energy.
The students who are in nursery up to 8th standards, their studies are well taken care of.  It gives immense joy to us as other neighbors and villagers give their recognition to the tuition center, based on its performance and commitment of its in charge and teachers.
The results tells the whole story as 15 students of this tuition center are class toppers and one of them is the school topper with 90% marks in the exam. Students like Roja 83%, Jyothi 80%, Yogendra 72%, Pallavi 85% and above all Navya achieved 90% marks and is standing tall in the school as she is the school topper.
The kids’ studies here belong to the poor family. Some of them are semi orphans; some of other’s parents are daily labours and hardly meet the needs of the family. These families are very much thankful to the Kennedy tuition center because of them only their kids are able to concentrate on their studies.
According to Priynka (teacher), “Some of the students when they came here, they did not know alphabets, they were all ill mannered and never knew how to behave with elders and no such good habits which we can pick up and say that they are good. Ever since they started to come to the tuition center they improved under our supervisions. They now worship Jesus, pray to Jesus, sing Christian songs; they learned new behaviorism and manners. At home also their behavior and habits has improved”
Apart from their studies such changes in their personal lives is forcing others also to send their children to the tuition center. Even the school authorities wondered at the results of the students and inquired about their background and asked them from where they are getting their tuition. All of them with one accord said, “We received our tuition at the Kennedy tuition center”.
Teachers were very much amazed about the marks of one of the student Navya as mentioned above. She was a below average student, but after joining the tuition center she began to score high marks and she is the school topper. School authority honoured Ps Ravi Kiran and the teaching staff.
According to Ps Ravi Kiran, “school authorities said the kids of the free tuition center are scoring good marks and are standing as class toppers. Their performance is 100 times better than those who pay regular fees for the tuitions”. He further added saying, “Navya hails from a poor family, and her father is a daily labour. He is not able to bare the expenses on her studies but this tuition center is becoming a blessing for this poor child and the results and changes are very much visible to all of us”.
Such results and responses, tell the whole story about the impact of the Kennedy tuition center. Please continue to pray for its successful running and God may give a wider impact in the lives of the villagers and students. Pray for the students like Navya, Roja, Pallavi, Jyothi and Yogendra that they may continue to perform well in the school and they be blessed in the coming future.
According to the tutor Priyanka, “after their study hour’s students are taught bible verses, Christian songs, action songs and dances, it keeps their mind fresh and helps them to retain their interest in the studies”.
Such changes in the lives of the students and basic improvement in their habits and personality shows that every investment you do in the lives of these kids is not in vain but it is yielding positive results. In heaven you will be so glad that you did it.

Doomed to be Blessed

Ravi Kiran was born and brought up in a well to do family. In the family along with him he has two more sisters. He studied till class 10th. After his studies his desire was to get a good job in Indian army as other members of the family were in Indian army. His family worshiped snake God. Snake was their deity. From generation to generation  his ancestors were worshiping it. On the other hand his father was a great drunkard. His father failed to set a good example before him. Instead of giving  him lessons to walk in good path, his father offered liquor to him and both father and Ravi  became alcoholic.
His life took a turn in the year 1981. His father fall sick with T.B. He was taken to different hospital and to different doctors but his sickness became incurable. They have spent almost 3 lakh rupees for his treatment. For his further treatment they were not having any single rupees. In such situation they sold their 5 acres of land, they were forced to sell their house and  with that money they did the further medications.
His father’s sickness has almost broken the income of the family they had nothing to eat. Further his father was in comma  for 10 days. In such situation one of the pastor visited them in the Hospital and prayed for the healing of his father. Amazingly God healed him. In the hospital, on his sick bed, he accepted Jesus and his life changed completely.
They rented a thatched house in their neighborhood. If people gave them something to eat they would eat that. In such a tough time their relative forsook them. They had no one who could take care of their lives.
Meanwhile Ravi left his studies and went to Tirupati and worked in a wood art company. His both the sisters also left their studies and both of them began to work as maid servants to earn money for the family. Among all of such troubles, his father had the desire that his son should be serving the Lord.
Ravi never wanted to see his family suffering and their problems were unbearable for him. That is why he ran away to Tirupati. He was still a big drunkard. Because of his drinking habits, his boss was not giving him his salary. In the company, one of his friend who was Christian, shared Gospel to him. Later on, one day he prayed to God and said, “Oh God if you are a real God, please provide me food.” All of a sudden one old man came and knocked at his door. He told him,“You are praying here and God spoke to me to give you 50 rupees for the food.” This incidence changed his life. That time onwards he began to go to the  church.
The first Sunday, pastor was preaching about the prodigal son. After the message he reached pastor and asked, “How did you know my story.” Thus in June 1993, he gave his life to Jesus and repented from all of his sins. He returned home and took water baptism. His pastor encouraged him to go to a bible school and learn the word of God. In the year 1994 he joined bible school. In the bible school he was possessed with evil spirit. In the bible school servants of God prayed for him and he was delivered from it. In the year 1995, he finished his studies and soon after his graduation he got married. After his marriage he with his wife prayed to the Lord that He may show him the place to go and serve him. So God guided him to Jonnallagada village. He started ministry there and began to preach Gospel. At that time for 3 years there was a great famine in the village. There was no rain. He began to pray to the Lord and kept sharing Gospel to villagers. That time onwards the village began to have plentiful rain and drought was over. He stayed in the village until God spoke him to go to the Shobhanapuram village but for one  year he didn’t go, finally he went there.
The place and people  were not friendly with him. They persecuted and tried to shun him with his family from there. But some  how managed to survive. Many a time he was beaten up there. Once when he went for the missionary work with his family, behind him, some anti-Christians came and burned down his house. When he returned there was nothing. For next 6 month he and his family was living under a tree. After six month somebody helped him to build a temporary house. In the year 2007 ps Matthew and team visited him and that was the  turning  point for his Life. Today he is having a good church with 50 believers. He is running a free tuition center and he constructed a church building and now he is happy and blessed in Christ.
Were you also brought up in such family like Ravi? were you ever persecuted? Are you fearful about your future?
Come to Jesus He will give you Hope and a good future. As Ravi is happy and blessed in Christ, you can also be freed from all of your worries and past griefs and abuses. God Bless you!!!

Saved to Serve

What if ? If you loose everything over a night? If you are at the verge of suicide ? No other way is left for you except ending your life ! One of  the EFC church planter K Meshach has an amazing story of how God saved him from the verge of death and brought him to life.

Meshach was born in a Christian family. His father was a pastor. From the very childhood he was attending the church services. Being the eldest son of the family his parents dedicated him to make him a servant of God. As he grew up and he finished his studies. Suddenly a desire to find a good job and earn money has come in his heart. He thought of doing a business and earn lot of money and along  with  the business he wanted to serve the Lord. Meanwhile he got married and settled with his wife in his village.

As he was well settled and very much cozy suddenly he has to bare a great loss in his textile business. One by one he tried one or another trick to save his business but everything was a great failure. He was forced to close it down. It was a difficult time for Meshach, as his family was growing and responsibility was increasing. Further he had two children too. On the  other hand he was in great debt. At this verge as he lost everything, he thought of committing suicide with his family.

Very much worried Meshach at home discussed this matter with his wife and both of them took decision to end their lives with their two little Children.
As together they were about to act on their decision, God spoke to Meshach and reminded him about his calling and told him that leave everything and follow after Me. That made him to think again and he decided to change his mind.

As soon as he received the calling, he left  the plan of suicide and decided to serve the Lord and follow the exemplary life which his father showed him. Finally he took admission in a bible school. He studied in the bible school for two years.

His decision of serving the Lord, later turned into a great  blessing for him. Today he is a pastor of a church. God blessed him with a house and  with great joy and happiness he is reaching out different villages with the good news. It is God's work and it is marvelous to our eyes.

Did you ever gone through any such situation, come to the Lord, Share your life to Him, and Serve Him at the earliest. You will rejoice in heaven for your decision.
